Analyzing your entire fields from the air using drones is far quicker than walking the fields, and far less expensive than using a commercially piloted aircraft. That makes drones the most convenient and cost-effective way to analyze:
- Germination. A stand count shortly after germination lets you know whether and where to plant additional seeds.
- Plant health. During the middle of the growing season, our Near Infrared (NIR) sensors allow you to analyze plant health through contrasting colors. Potential problem areas can also be more closely inspected. Knowing where and when to add fertilizer, water or nitrogen increases yields while also saving money. The NIR sensors can also spot weed concentrations, allow targeted applications of herbicides.
- Seed evaluation. Trying to determine the best hybrid for your operation? Real-time viewing can help you survey and compare different hybrids side-by-side.
Some things simply can’t be controlled – namely, the weather. But when damage occurs from storms or drought, drones offer the ideal way to survey the damage. Photographic evidence from the air is more comprehensive than what even the most careful adjuster can provide from the ground. That way, both farmers and insurance companies can see exactly what’s been lost.
